Sunday 1st April 2007 at 10am Buddleia and Elder Cutting It is important to cut the beautiful buddleia bushes on the nature reserve down to size every few years, so that they produce plentiful flowers for the butterflies to use in the summer. Over-enthusiastic elder saplings also need the chop to prevent them overtaking the woods. Come along today and lend a hand.
Tuesday 22nd May at 7pm Springwatch
Enjoy a spring
evening on the reserve and discover the plants and animals that have made the
reserve their home this year. You can also find out how to help to survey and
record some of the wildlife you see. Wild Flower Conservation Lend a hand this evening to make sure the wild flower clearings looks as good as last year. We will be pulling up invading plants including Himalayan Balsam and Rosebay Willow Herb from these special areas.
Tuesday 10th July at 7pm Orchid Count See the benefit of looking after the woodland clearings by relaxing amongst the flowers and counting the orchids that flourish here. What a great way to spend a summer evening!
